An interactive visual simulation framework for radar network detection coverage in a complicated environment

摘要

The hardware-accelerated interactive framework is presented for simulating radar network detection coverage. The framework consists of two major parts: GPU-based radar network detection coverage calculation and isosurface extraction. First, GPU-based calculation of radar network detection coverage in a complicated environment is studied, and the calculation is executed in the GPU using shader language. And then the radar network detection geometry model is created based on detection coverage data using hardware accelerated isosurface extraction. At last, the geometry model is rendered on the virtual globe. With our framework, the radar network detection coverage can be calculated and represented dynamically by adjusting parameters of radar network and targets in real-time. Therefore, our framework can interactively assist radar network design, counterwork training, and so on.
