摘要

Co-moulding of discontinuous-fibre-reinforced thermosets with continuous-fibre-reinforced thermosets provides the potential to combine design freedom with high stiffness in one single component. However, processing as well as product development for this manufacturing method are still poorly investigated. The International Research and Training Group "Integrated engineering of continuous-discontinuous long fibre reinforced polymer structures" (DFG-GRK 2078) tackles these open points in an interdisciplinary manner. The present paper demonstrates the reinforcing effect of the continuous fibres on coupon level. Furthermore, the geometrical accuracy and reproductively of sequential stamp draping is shown when it comes to drape complex reinforcement structures for structural applications.
