1 Biomass co-firing at coal power plants can lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and provide a more economically feasible alternative to dedicated biomass power plants. 2 Biomass pre-treatment (torrefaction) improves biomass properties, and densification (briquettes) facilitates supply logistics.
