Impacts of atmospheric aerosol on climate depend to a large extent on physical and chemical properties of individual particles. Size and chemical compositions of atmospheric aerosol particles can be changed by in-cloud processing, which includes absorption of water soluble gases, collisions between particles and a liquid phase reaction. Thus, it is important to know modification of aerosol particles by in-cloud processing.
