The air quality underneath Bangkok sky train station, Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS), has a particulate matter problem especially during rush hours due to traffic volume and airflow obstruction by the platform structure. To reduce dust concentration, the effective control mechanism is the water spray system. (Balachandran et al., 2003) Figure 1 shows the water spray system under Saphan Khwai BTS sky train station by 4 water lines of 100-m length with 52 nozzles (208 nozzles in total). The water lines were installed 5-m apart with 2-m space between nozzles. The water spraying was operated every 10 minutes during TSP and PM10 monitor of five 3-hour samples from 5 am to 8 pm. The TSP and PM10 were collected by high-volume air samplers at 6 stations; 3 footpath stations (ST1, ST3 and ST5) and 3 street isle stations (ST2, ST4 and ST6).
