The study focused on the top part of men's socks, probing into the relationship between pressure on the lower leg exerted by the top part of socks and the displacement on the leg under stress. The displacement on the leg under stress was simulated using finite element method and the functional relationship between pressure and displacement at any cross-sectional point of the lower leg where the top part of socks located was obtained through the Lagrange quadratic interpolation, analyzing the multiple relation between pressure and displacement in detail. A novel conceive on appraisal of pressure comfort through the relationship between pressure and human body surface displacement was proposed by this paper, with which method subjectivity and uncertainty by subjective assessment on pressure comfort can be avoided, providing a theoretical reference for optimal design of the top part of man's socks.
