Measuring apparatus for studying equilibria between phases, comprising an equilibrium cell 1 with a free piston 10, an introduction means 17, 18 for a product to be analysed in an upper part 3 and an introduction means 15 for a hydraulic liquid for operating the piston in a lower part 4 of the cell, characterised in that the free piston 10 is rigidly attached to an axial rod 19 which passes through this lower part 4 and which is connected to a displacement sensor, whereas the introduction means 17, 18 for a product to be analysed is placed axially, so that the cell is suitable both for precision weighings and for successive cycles of gas expansion and extraction.
