A study on factors affecting computer-assisted language learning

摘要

The emergence of multimedia computer brings a revolution to computer-assisted teaching and learning. With the promotion of educational informationization and the improvement of hardware facilities on campus, computer technology has been widely used in English language teaching and learning and it has shown to have greater and greater importance. As many factors have influence on this field to some extent, this paper proposed the Analytic Hierarchy Process to analyze the factors which affect computer-assisted English teaching and learning. The result of the analysis is that the main affecting factors are the learning styles of the students and the teaching styles of the teachers. The study aims to promote college English teaching and learning and enhance the teaching and learning effects. The result indicates that as a valid and scientific method, the Analytic Hierarchy Process has some practical value.
