摘要

Increasing of arsenic efflux has been regarded as the most important mechanism for arsenic resistance. The ATP-Binding Cassette (ABC) subfamily members, ABCB1 (MDR1) and ABCC1 (MRP1), have been reported increased in arsenic resistance cells. In our previous studies, we found that another ABC gene, ABCA1, was increased in the arsenic resistant ECV-304 (AsRE) cells. The results from this study showed that ABCA1 expression level was associated with the survive rate and intracellular arsenic accumulation after arsenic treatments. Interestingly, silence all the ABCA1, ABCB1 and ABCC1 genes deplete the arsenic resistance feature compared with the ECV304 cells. Our results suggested that ABCA1 is another ABC gene which contributes arsenic efflux besides ABCB1 and ABCC1.
