This paper is an update to paper [5], with new data. The aim of the paper is to thoroughly analyse the health status of Sibiu county population with SPSS software. The planning of the resources necessary for organizing and functioning the health services at local level and implicitly at national level, the control of the diseases' risk factors lead to the optimization of costs with a view to improve the health of the population and to increase the quality of life. In recent decades, the health of the population is approached in dynamics, aiming at the application of some indicators or indices that highlight the trends of health phenomena and allow quick and targeted interventions with higher efficiency and effectiveness ([7]). Knowing the main trends of health issues can contribute to establishing preventive measures aimed at reducing premature deaths affecting the younger and the active population by reducing the number of years of potential life lost, promoting quality of life by avoiding the harmful conditions, increasing life expectancy and especially by increasing life expectancy in good health conditions. This paper presents certain aspects of the health of the population, including statistics on demographics. The statistical calculation may provide decision makers with data and scientific arguments in order to identify and prioritize the health issues, as well as to determine the needs and resource allocation ([8]). The authors' conclusion is that the simulation made with SPSS software provides conclusive results for the optimization of the decision making in the medical field.
