The facile synthesis of gold nanoparticles was achieved by using the Cassia auriculata flower extract which acts as reducing agent. The synthesized gold nanoparticles were characterized by various techniques such as UV-Vis spectroscopy, particle size analyzer, XRD, FESEM, and TEM. These nanoparticles showed an absorption peak at 532 nm in UV-Vis spectrum corresponding to the Plasmon resonance of gold nanoparticles. The bio reduction of gold ions by Cassia auriculata flower extract forms nanoparticles with different morphologies. The spherical, hexagonal and triangular shaped nanoparticles were observed in TEM analysis with sizes ranging from 10 to 55nm. This rapid green synthesis method is cost effective; and eco-friendly technique to produce nanomaterials.
