It is that Ni/C composite powder are prepared by electroless plating with hydrazine hydrate as a reducing agent and compound complex agent. To investigate the effect of main salts, reductant dosage, graphite dose and compound complex agent ratio on the conductivity of composite powder. It is can be obtained under optimum conditions with good electrical properties, the rough surface is completely coated Ni/C composite powder. Ni/C composite powder has a good conductivity and thermal conductivity of metallic nickel and a good lubricity and wear resistance of graphite, so in the areas of the conductive filler, electrical contact materials, wear seal coating and self-lubricating material, etc.[1,2]have a broad application prospects. Composite powders are prepared by Electroless plating which is simple operation and low cost, which is widely used. Quzhan Min etc.[3]have studied the effects of temperature and concentration of nickel sulfate on bath; Wang Tianxu [4] studied the effects of complexant concentration on coating structure. But because of the nickel coated composite powder is mainly from the high phosphorus, medium phosphorus and low phosphorus[5], or single complexing agent for plating nickel plating[6]. He Zhenhua[7]have finally dron hydrazine hydrate to get Ni/Al composite powder, which provided a new idea in the electroless plating using hydrazine as a reducing agent. With hydrazine hydrate as the reductant, compound complex agent and nickel ion into main salt are have been complex reaction in experiments to explore methods of which bath is stable and plating is good.
