The effect of desensitization capsaicin-sensitive nerves ( capsaicin 150 mg/kg, s/c ) and their stimulation (capsaicin 1 mg/kg, s/c ) on blood pressure ( BR ) was investigated in rats with hypertension induced by fructose ( 12,5 % in drinking water for 10 weeks ) or inhibitor of nitric oxide synthase L- NAME ( 0,02 % in drinking water for 6 weeks ). The desensitization of capsaicin-sensitive nerves prevented development of hypertension in fructose- fed rats but increased BR in rats with NO-deficient hypertension. The stimulation decreased BR in the both models of hypertension. The results showed participation of capsaicin-sensitive nerves and their different role in hypertensions of various origin.
