摘要

Industrial training is an important strategy used to expose students to the real working environment and to equip them with the necessary skills so that they will be work-ready when they graduate. The objective of this study is to investigate the performance of built environment students in one public university in Malaysia during industrial training. Data were collected based on employers' evaluations of the performance of 186 students who underwent 12 weeks industrial training. The performance attributes were built upon the respective faculty's programme outcomes and centred around three main dimensions; personal qualities, core skills and process skills. The results indicate a satisfactory level of students' performance during the industrial training and most employers would be willing to recruit the students in the future.
