Combined the roadway displacement observation, optimization theory of inverse analysis and genetic algorithm, the multi-parameter inversion calculation system was built to explore rheological parameters and predict long-term rheological process. Then the GA-FLAC inversion system was developed to calculate rheological parameters through the way of embedding genetic algorithm routine in FLAC numerical software. This method was applied to the real case, and the results show that the back analytical result is close to the true value. This proves that the procedure for rheological parameters has good inversion ability and is a new research method for studying long-term stability projects of roadway.
