摘要

There is a growing demand for economically viable phosphors for newly emerging display devices with on-going technological advancements. Various aluminates are used as hosts for doping rare earth ions in luminescent applications.[1] Green emitting terbium-ion-doped MgSrAl_(10)O_(17) phosphor prepared using the combustion method. An efficient phosphor can be prepared by this method at around 5500C in a very short time of few minutes. Further phosphor was analyzed by XRD for the confirmation of desired phase and purity. The morphology and structure of the phosphor were characterized by Scanning electron microscopy.The vibrational properties of MgSrAl_(10)O_(17) phosphor was studied by FTIR.
