Controlling the properties of materials manufactured using recycled PVC

PolyVinyl Chloride (PVC) is a readily available material which has found use in a range of applications. Such applications are enhanced through the presence of property modifiers added to the PVC. These additives include processing aids, stabilizers, lubricants and plasticers. While these additives provide excellent control of the properties in virgin PVC their present in recycled PVC may be a disadvantage depending on the application. In this presentation we discuss how PVC recycled PVC can be modified to produce materials with desirable properties.
