Toro Energy owns six uranium resources in the Wiluna region that form thefoundation of the Wiluna Uranium Project. These are: Centipede, Millipede,Lake Way, Lake Maitland, Dawson Hinkler and Nowthanna. All of thesedeposits are shallow, calcrete-associated surficial uranium deposits.In total, the regional resources contain 76.5 Mlb of uranium, and thepriority deposits at Centipede, Millipede, Lake Way and Lake Maitlandare well defined, with 97 per cent of the 56.6 Mlb in these deposits in theMeasured and Indicated categories. Mining studies have demonstrated that the ore is amenable to initialfracturing using a surface miner such that further crushing prior to millingis not required, and pit optimisation and ore scheduling has commenced tovalidate a high-grade ore presentation strategy that optimises the projecteconomics. The alkaline leach/direct precipitation process selected has beencontinuously piloted on ore samples specifically selected to present therange of properties that the processing facility will have to contend with. Theresults of the piloting campaign have been incorporated into the detaileddesign of the processing facility, which contributes to the majority of projectcapital and operating costs. The packages of work completed places the project in good standing forevaluation prior to a more definitive estimation of project costs that willresult from the completion of a definitive feasibility study.The paper will include the key results of the latest drilling and pilot plantstudies and demonstrate how these results have been critical for projecteconomics.
