Research on the Traffic Pattern in City Residential Area in View of 'Compact City' Concept

摘要

This paper takes the concept of "Compact City" as a way to solve the housing and environmental issues. Based on the analysis of the current problems of road system in China's residential areas, this paper discusses the road system from the aspects of foundation of design, main body direction, content and space form from the angle of design of road system in the residential area. Four basic characteristics of road system have been summarized and an ideal model of traffic pattern in city residential area has been set up.
