The method involves detecting current mobility pattern of a motor vehicle and comparing the pattern with a given reference mobility pattern, where a traffic condition is assigned to the reference mobility pattern based on the comparison. An individual reference adjustment of a motor vehicle system is performed and an actual adjustment of the system is adapted at the reference adjustment of the system based on the traffic condition.
