To improve the assessment scientific of road transportation informatization, a grey evaluation method was presented based on grey theory and evaluation status. According to the content and characteristics of road transportation informatization, the evaluation index system was constructed from three aspects: the information network construction, informatization quality and growing talent. Then, the assessment model put forward using the grey evaluation method. The proposed method was applied in the informatization evaluation of three districts. The result indicates that the evaluation conclusion is very close to actual situation and the method is feasible.
