The biological activity of organotin compounds has been known for well over 100 years. For over 80 years organotin compounds have been known to inhibit cancer cell growth.1-3 More organotin compounds are available commercially than any other metal-containing organometallic.1-3 Further, more organotin compounds have undergone testing as potential anticancer agents than any other single group of compounds.
