Silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were successfully immobilized on polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) surface in the microfluidic chip through surface modification using 3-aminopropyletriethoxy silane (APTES) followed by plasma treatment. The presence of Ag NPs was confirmed by UV-Vis and SEM-EDS spectra. The fabricated microfluidic chip was applied to determine the concentration of L-Cysteine (Cys) sensitively by luminol-H_2O_2 chemiluminescence (CL) system through its inhibition effect. The linearity of the CL signal from Luminol-Cys-H_2O_2 system in the fabricated sensor chip was observed in the range of 1.2 to 10.5 μM (r=0.9983) of Cys with a limit of detection (LOD) of 33 nM.
