Thermoplastic Polyurethane Solutions For Improved Heat Performance

The Elastollan~R 700 HPM Series is a high performance thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) that was created to support the markets needs for improved temperature resistance allowing greater design freedom in Under-the-Vehicle applications like Anti-Lock Braking Systems or any parts that may get close to heat sources. In contrast to standard grade TPUs with similar mechanical properties, the Elastollan~R 700 HPM series has a continuous use temperature of 150 degrees Celsius for 3000 hours and exhibits a lower compression set at elevated temperatures. The 700 Series chemistry provides applications with the excellent hydrolysis resistance of ether TPU while delivering the chemical resistance of an ester TPU essentially providing the benefits of both TPU chemistries.
