Changing the FAM stacker turntable bearing using best maintenance practices

Since 2007, FAM Latin America has performed comprehensive maintenance service for the Leach Pad 2 Stack Area equipment at Minera Escondida, which includes a FAM Stacker Model ST4200.45R. Analysing the symptom inspection results and the lubricant control based on a MONCON programme, advanced wear in the turntable rotation bearing was detected. As a result, changing the 3480 mm diameter bearing was recommended in the medium term.
