Experimental investigation on the hysteretic behaviour of the concrete-filled double-skin stainless steel tube beam-columns is presented in this paper. The new-type composite tube consists of two concentric stainless steel tubes with the annulus between them filled with concrete. A total of five cyclic loading tests were conducted in the study to investigate the effects of the geometric dimension of the stainless steel tubes on the hysteretic behaviour of the concrete-filled double-skin stainless steel tube beam-columns including strength, ductility and energy dissipation capacity. Both the outer and inner skins were Austenitic stainless steel type 304 circular hollow sections (CHS). It was found from the test results that the concrete-filled double-skin stainless steel tube beam-columns exhibit favourable energy dissipation and ductility.
