A layered creep medium with nonlinear stress-strain relations is studied. The Boltzmann-Volterra hereditary theory with creep kernels of the Abel type is used for creep modeling. Using time discretization, linear motion equations with memory terms are derived on each time step. Then, the homogenization technique is applied to these equations. An estimate of error in terms of a small parameter is derived and an algorithm for numerical implementation of the suggested approach is presented.
