Cross-company coordination in Built-to-Order Production Networks in Machinery and Equipment Industry

摘要

This paper shows an innovative approach for the coordination of cross-company order management processes in production networks of the machinery and equipment industry. The approach is based on the Aachener production planning and control (PPC) model. The main result in this paper is the development of a detailed process reference model including coordination points for the interchange of structured cross-company information to different supplier types, in order to handle and reduce the coordination complexity in production networks.
