Type-Oriented Factory Planning with Solution Space Management

摘要

Factory planners nowadays face an essential dilemma: On one hand, due to an acceleration of the global economy, they are forced to speed up their planning process. One the other hand, due to an increased complexity and an overall augmented planning effort, more time is needed for an accurate design process. The approach of the present study is to address this problem based on two mutual complementary principals: Type-Orientation and Solution Space Management. The result is an integrative model for factory planning, contributing to solve the existing problem and therefore to increase the efficiency and accuracy of the planning process.
