The online registering and monitoring violence in school system is one of the main outcomes of the HRD SOP funded project Youth Against Violence! promoted by the Ministry of Education Research and Youth in partnership with Institute of Education Sciences (ISE), Save the Children Romania and OSC. Developed by a research team of ISE, the system is based on a wide consultation with more than 2500 school actors (inspectors, representatives of managerial teams, experts from County Educational Resources Centers) from Romania. The paper aims at presenting the approach, structure of the database and specific tools of this system and also to review the results of the pilot phase carried out in a sample of primary and lower secondary schools. The paper will also analyze the relevance of this approach for profiling and provision of assistance for offenders.
