VIOLENCE AMONG ADOLESCENTS IN SCHOOLS

Today, school is almost an accurate reflection of our world; an environment that brings together all the stakeholders, their needs, fears, hopes and desires.But it is a very special place because it is a place where the emblematic words that describe the intentional meaning of the interactions and transactions are education and training. But what is learned? In what sense students are formed? Is school a safe, positive environment for learning ? Is school a place where training is invariably taken in the intentional prosocial meaning? These questions have their purpose especially when you consider the theme of violence among adolescents in schools. Based on two studies of school violence conducted few years ago in Cluj county, we will try to outline in this article some possible answers, based on the belief that an analysis of the problem of violence among adolescents is a discussion about values, but also a discussion about power control balance and victimization, about self-esteem, but also about tolerance, about the needs of adolescents, and about rules and their application in school, about communication and about respect, about trust and safety. The teens' s perspective on these issues requires to be carefully developed if we are not just talking about violence among adolescents in schools, make strategies and commissions, but want to contribute particularly effectively, both educators, social workers, psychologists and parents to the formation of adolescents who appreciate themselves and feel valued.
