Analysis of low-Carbon for all aspects of power system is summarized. To optimize allocation of distributed generation in distribution network, three indexes are introduced to evaluate distributed generation (DG) profits, namely low-carbon expense index, voltage security index and active power loss index, furthermore, the multi-objective optimization model for distributed generation was established, the multi-objective program is turned into a single objective program with the maximum satisfaction method. An artificial intelligent algorithm namely the plant growth simulation algorithm (PGSA), is employed to solve the optimal planning of DG .Calculation example shows that the proposed optimal planning model of DG is effective and feasible; the simulating results illustrate the correctness and availability of the proposed algorithm.
