Research on production and ordering decision in supply chain under yields and demand disruptions

This paper focuses on the research on production and ordering decision in supply chain under the uncertainty of yields and demand. Through the discussion on the distribution function of random variables to describe the uncertainty factors, we estimate their impact on the decision-making for the supply chain partnership, taking a supply chain with one-echelon yields uncertainty and that with two-echelon yields uncertainty as study object in turn, we model from operational angle, and by solving the calculus equation we get the optimal solution for members in the supply chain to maximize the profits of the whole chain. The outcome of the model could provide support for members of supply chain in making production and ordering decision, and therefore can reduce operational risk within the system. Finally, a numerical example is given to test and illustrate the model.
