Hairball-like bismuth trisulphide microcrystallines has been successfully prepared via one step soivothermal process and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) techniques. The morphologies of the Bi_2S_3 microcrystallines were influenced by reaction time, temperature, the mole ratio of the reactants and concentration of starting materials, and the growth process has been proposed. The electrochemical behavior of Bi_2S_3 was investigated using the cyclic voltammetry.
