Game theory on construction of eco-tourism area: From theory to practice

Eco-tourism area is the special tourism destination, and the place to realize various low-carbon tourism activities as well. The key point for its construction is the ecological construction standard with taking environmental friendliness into consideration. As various organizations and groups involved in ecotourism area construction have different targets and interest pursuits, there exit many contradictions and conflicts. Therefore, it is a very important theoretical subject to find a coordinative mechanism with paying attention to interest optimization of stakeholders in ecotourism area. The author selects Shenzhen OCT East, the first national eco-tourism demonstration zone in China as the object to study interest demands among tourists, tourism developer, government and residents with analyzing their interest conflicts and defining their interests in construction by game theory. It proves that a constrained interests coordination mechanism is required to realize interests balance of various parties. Hence eco-tourism area can gradually build harmonious relationship and sustainable development environment guided by game theory.
