Detecting the state of conveyer belt is important in process such as coal mine. An algorithm based on PFT (Phase Fourier Transform) is used to recognize X-ray steel rope cord conveyer belt image with defect in this paper. Firstly, the algorithm based on PFT is introduced. Then, the algorithm is emulated to detect recognition of X-ray steel cord conveyer belt image in MATLAB. The results show that x-ray steel rope cord conveyer belt image with defect can be identified by the algorithm based on PFT.
