The invention relates to a process for joining the steel cord belt conveyers by using a new way of protection against belt tearing in the longitudinal direction and against the metallic cord detachment from the joining steps ends. According to the invention, the process for joining the steel cord belt conveyers uses a system for protection against metallic cord pulling-out and the longitudinal tearing thereof and it consists of the operations of centering the belt ends, the preliminary marking, the joining area marking and the end decapping, joint edge and cable roughing, arranging the silicone-covered paper onto the equalizing plates, solution-treating and positioning cables in the joint and longitudinal splitting off of said cables, characterized in that on the double laminate containing the lower face of the belt, there is placed a number of rubbered strand pieces equal to the double of the number of steps, placed transversally under the step cable ends and simmilarly, the same strand number are placed onto the step cable ends under the double laminate, which constitutes the upper face of the belt, in order not to allow the cable coming out from the joint, towards the exterior and their pulling out along the joint.
