In this paper, the photoalignment performance of the synthesized polymers was tested preliminarily and the photochemical reaction and the photoalignment at different conditions were discussed. The results indicated that liquid crystal molecules can rearrange because of the photo crosslinking of P1. The results show that with the increase exposure energy, the Abs and the degree of photochemical reaction is gradually stable and △A is always positive. All this shows that the direction of photocyclodimer is parallel to E vector of the LPUV and make the polymer film have an optical anisotropy.
