POLYACRYLATE POLYMERS COMPOSITION FOR PHOTOINDUCED LIQUID CRYSTAL ALIGNMENT THROUGH CO-POLYMERIZATION PREPARATION METHOD OF THE FILM FOR PHOTOINDUCED LIQUID CRYSTAL THEREBY AND THE LIGUID CRYSTAL CELL USING THE FILM
PURPOSE: Provided is a polyacrylic photosensitive polymer liquid crystal alignment agent having excellent photochemical and thermal stabilities, electro-optical properties and alignment characteristics. A method for making an alignment layer using the composition and a liquid crystal device using the alignment layer are also provided. CONSTITUTION: The polyacrylic photosensitive polymer liquid crystal alignment agent is obtained by copolymerizing an acrylic monomer and a stilbene monomer which have a pendant photo-reactive group capable of photo-dimerization, photo-isomerization or photo-crosslinking. Additionally, the method for making a liquid crystal alignment layer(1) comprises the steps of: dissolving the liquid crystal alignment agent in an organic solvent; coating the formed solution on a substrate(2) by spin coating or printing to form an alignment layer(1); and slantingly or vertically irradiating the surface of the alignment layer(1) with UV, non-polarized or linearly polarized by a polarizer.
