THE ROLE OF MECHATRONICS IN THE EDUCATION OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEER

摘要

The increasing complexity of vehicles create a continues need for multi disciplinary qualified engineer. This paper describes the type of mechatronic systems found on vehicles, and the problems faced by the engineers for the developments of this systems. The paper describes some aspects of the development process and discusses the skills required by engineers as well as the interdependence of these skills with those of mechatronics engineers. The paper concludes that mechatonic engineers are necessary in the process of education and are prepared for the mechatronic systems of automotive industry.
