Effects of microbial ecological agent (Yishuibao) with three treatments (El:0.6mg/L, E2:0.9 mg/L and E3:1.2 mg/L) on regulation of water quality in micro-ecosystem were studied by measuring algae community structure and various water quality parameters. The results showed that Yishuibao could restrain the growth of blue algae efficiently, and improve the biomass of green algae, and showed obvious dose-response relationship. The value of pH of each test group increased gradually in the whole experiment, and it has a less variation range (8.82-9.38). The content of ammonia nitrogen in the control ponds (Ck) had risen perpendicularly, and was significant higher than Eland E2 in the end of experiment (p<0.01). Concentration of COD increased slowly with culture time in the control ponds, but decreased by degrees in the treatment ponds, and the difference between Ck and three treatments were significant in the end of experiment (p<0.01). Concentration of NO2 -N and DO of each test group had increased slowly in the experiment, but the difference of the concentration of NO2-N between Ck and three treatments were not significant (p>0.05), probably due to the high level value of pH inhibited denitrification in the experiment. Concentration of PO43--P of each test group had decreased slowly in the whole experiment. The conclusion base on the above factors showed that Yishuibao could significantly increase algae biodiversity, and decreased the contents of COD, ammonia nitrogen and PO43-P in different degree, and increased the concentration of DO significantly (p<0.01), but no significant differences of concentration of NO2--N were found between Ck and E1,E2 and E3 when in the high value of pH.
