APPLICATION OF WINTRAY~R EXTRACTION COLUMN TO NICKEL HYDRQMETALLURGICAL PROCESSING

Liquid-liquid extraction column equipment has been widely used in various process industries. In particularly, perforated-plate columns and RDCs (Rotating Disc Contactors) have been holding an unshakable position as extraction column since 50 years ago. At the beginning of the 21st century, the WINTRAY~R extraction column (hereinafter referred to as "the WINTRAY"), developed by JGC as a kind of the stage-type extraction column, was commercialized in the petrochemical industry, and its high throughput, high efficiency and high resistance to scum have been demonstrated. The cases of the WINTRAY replacing existing perforated-plate column, RDC and Oldshue-Rushton column have been increasing.
