Commercial copper alloy powders, including brasses (Cu-Zn), bronzes and nickel silvers are manufactured in a similar manner. Brasses comprise the major portion of copper-based alloy powders used for parts fabrication, in comparison with prealloyed bronze and nickel silver materials. Brass powders have been widely used in many industrial fields for high electrical and thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance and formability properties. Typical copper-zinc alloy powders contain zinc contents ranging from 10 to 30 % [1].
