Transportation has entered in a critical period of enhancing the quality and level of service, and it also has got into the mode of development of transition. Setting of professional group should work closely with the current and future transport development plan in Sichuan, to pinpoint the position of higher vocational education in the transportation industry and regional economic development. This paper relies on connotation construction, from the view of resources optimization, to enhance school characteristics, and to build up a localization professional group in Sichuan Vocational transportation broad categories.
