SMEs in the Communication Age: The Creation of A Win-win Stage

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have been contributing a great portion to the development of economy. As the world is in the threshold of information age, how to locate the relationship between enterprises and media becomes a question to ponder. Media communication serves not only as the promoter of enterprises, but also as the information browser, provider, searcher, and analyzer to some extent. However, modern world is flooded with information while the majority of what is termed as 'authoritative information' is under the control of media conglomerates. Facing the high price in cooperation with few media conglomerates who own the information, SMEs would have to choose to quit, or to be exposed to disinformation. Meanwhile, small and medium media are still struggling for survival in the fierce competition. It is then feasible for SMEs to cooperate with small and medium media so as to reach to the win-win stage.
