Graphene is one of two dimensional materials. The Carbon of graphene is in the vertex of hexagon. The existence of graphene has casted down the theory that two dimensional materials could not be stable in room temperature. It has very high carrier mobility compared to electron mobility in silicon. The dual-layer graphene has variable band gap which property has been found for the first time. Due to its fancy physical characters and various applications, it attracts more and more attentions both on theory and experiments. This paper introduces the structure of graphene and its characters and the applications. In the end, the prospect of graphene is presented.
