Transition metal oxides (MO) such as nickel oxide, cobalt oxides, and iron oxides have been investigated as potential anode materials for rechargeable lithium ion battery (LIB) due to their high theoretical capacities and good safety [1]. Among them iron oxides have attracted more attention due to their attractive features, such as low cost, nontoxicity, and environmentally friend properties. Variety of structures of iron oxides such as Fe2O3 nanotubes [2] and iron oxide nanowires [3] have been employed as anode in LIB, and their electrochemical performance were investigated.
