PERFORMING HIGH-RESOLUTION TYPING IN A HIGH-VOLUME TESTING

Our lab has large volume of samples that require high resolution typing with quick turn around time. Currently, our typing approaches are: LABType SSO for intermediate resolution typing; SBT for high resolution typing and high resolution SSP to resolve ambiguities. Recently another OLI's innovative typing reagent (LABType HD reagents) became available. These reagents are supposedly to improve typing resolution. The objective of this study is to compare typing resolution for HLA-A, B & DRB1 loci between HD and intermediate resolution LABType reagents and between HD and SBT analysis using Celera kits (884 Dubuque Ave South San Francisco CA 94080).
