Thin-Ridge SOI Disk and Ring Resonators with 'Magic Radius' and 'Magic Width' Phenomena

Using the mode matching simulation, we show that the propagation losses of TM-like mode in thin-ridge SOI disk and ring resonators are significantly impacted by the radius of the disk or ring, and waveguide width.
