We aiming to demonstrate that interval exercise training programmes based on a maximal CPET recommendation of Training Zones increase physical fitness and improve body composition in young obese women. 40 young obese women (average body mass index of 30.7 kg/m2) from 18 to 25 years old were included in the study. We analyze body composition and perform a maximal effort tests (CPET) in each patient before and after 6 months of study. Exercise training programme was guided based on CPET recommendations and adjusted by a personal trainer. Using the paired t test to compare the data at baseline and at the end of the study, we noticed a significant improvement in body composition. We also noticed a very significant improvement of physical fitness (VO_2peak increased from 1.73 l/min to 2.09 l/min, p<0.0001) and aerobic capacity (Aerobic threshold increased from 1.16 1/min to 1.5 1/min, p=0.0002). Conclusion: Six months of interval exercise training increase physical fitness and improve body composition in young obese women.
